Energy
Offering affordable energy to clients is is a great way to help a customer save $$$, keep the environment green, and allows for you to make an additional income.
It is very similar to the early stages of telecom de-regulation when we sold competitive Long distance on top of the local carriers phone lines..to put it in telephony terms.
- Supply (often called generation) is deregulated, like Telecom today. It is the compensable piece in energy.
- Transmission / Distribution is regulated, unlike Telecom today. It is not a compensable piece in energy.
- Using Telecom as an analogy: Supply market is similar to variable Long Distance minutes and / or data price per meg.
- Supply = port / voice usage
- Delivery / Transmission and Distribution = local loop (which did not used to be compensated at all and still is not by many carriers today; some pay reduced commission)
